Labor Unions Urge Ebonyi Governor To Act On Teacher Killings

The labor unions have called on the governor to instruct state security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators. This request was made during their meeting with the governor at the new Government House in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State.
They expressed concern over the deteriorating living conditions and working environments for teachers and urged the governor to ensure that those responsible for the teachers’ murders are brought to justice as a deterrent to others.
The labor groups also commended the governor for disbursing gratuities to retirees and providing additional financial support to civil servants in response to the removal of subsidies.
