Labour Party Is Full Of Disobedient People – Umahi Explodes

While concluding his remarks, Umahi praised his team at the Ministry of Works and took a jab at the opposition party, stating he had no interest in associating with the Labour Party due to what he described as their lack of discipline.

“I don’t want to be disobedient or part of a Labour Party known for being very insubordinate,” he remarked. “I want to commend my Minister of State, the Permanent Secretary, and all the Directors—but most especially, my deepest commendation goes to Mr. President.”

Earlier in his speech, Umahi had applauded President Bola Tinubu for reviving the Sokoto-Badagry road project, which was originally proposed by former President Shehu Shagari nearly five decades ago.

“This project was a vision of the Shagari administration 47 years ago,” he said. “It was initially planned as Badagry-Sokoto, but President Tinubu—being a detribalised leader—reversed it to Sokoto-Badagry.”

The former Ebonyi State governor went on to praise Tinubu’s leadership, claiming his administration had sparked positive economic indicators.

“Our GDP is growing, inflation is declining, and the foreign exchange market is improving. Even the World Bank confirmed we no longer owe them. Let’s applaud Mr. President—the man of uncommon courage,” Umahi added.
