The politician claimed the chaos within the LP is a direct outcome of the betrayal and injustice inflicted on him and his team in 2022.

According to Faduri, the party is now grappling with the consequences of deceit after its leaders sidelined him and handed the presidential ticket to former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi.

In a statement, Faduri stated the party’s leadership was driven by selfish interests, and as such, the crisis may linger for a long time.

“What’s unfolding in the Labour Party is nothing but poetic justice—karma revealing itself publicly,” he said. “This is the result of the betrayal, injustice, and deception my team and I faced in 2022 when party leaders schemed to deny me the ticket we had worked so hard to build, only to hand it to Peter Obi.”

Faduri added that his political journey began with the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), which he revitalized before it was allegedly taken over by Rabiu Kwankwaso.

“I warned my team that NNPP had been hijacked by greed and corruption,” he said.

He also expressed disillusionment after personal interactions with Peter Obi in 2022, claiming Obi fell short of the “messianic” image many supporters had believed in.

Despite remaining a Labour Party member, Faduri said he has yet to decide what platform he will use to contest the presidency in 2027, but he is committed to running again.
