Lady Claims Women Stay With Men Because Of Money, Protection And Benefits
A Nigerian lady has sparked widespread debate on social media after making controversial claims that women do not genuinely love men, including their husbands, but are primarily attracted to the financial benefits, protection and other forms of support they receive from their male partners.
In a statement that has generated reactions online, the lady argued that men should not interpret their partners’ affection and commitment as evidence of unconditional love, insisting that a woman’s willingness to remain in a relationship could depend largely on a man’s ability to provide for her.
She maintained that financial stability and the benefits women receive from relationships play significant roles in determining their commitment to men.
Emphasising her position, she declared, “No woman on earth loves you, including your wife. I repeat, no woman on earth loves you, including your wife.”
The lady further suggested that men who believe their wives love them unconditionally might reconsider their assumptions if they suddenly lose their jobs or become financially incapable of meeting their partners’ expectations.
According to her, a man’s inability to provide financially could expose what she described as the true foundation of some relationships, warning men against assuming that their partners would remain committed regardless of their financial circumstances.
However, she made an exception for mothers, describing maternal affection as the only genuine form of love a man could receive from a woman.
She stated, “The only woman wey fit love you for this life na your mama. Only your mama love you.”
Her remarks have triggered conversations about love, financial responsibilities, gender expectations and the role of money in romantic relationships.
While some may view her comments as a warning about relationships built around material benefits, her sweeping generalisation has also raised questions about the difference between genuine affection and financial expectations in partnerships.
However, she did not provide evidence to support her claims about women, and her statements remain her personal opinion rather than an established fact.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the controversy has once again drawn attention to ongoing debates about trust, financial responsibility and the meaning of unconditional love in modern relationships.
