Lady’s Unusual Response To Police Question Leaves Social Media Buzzing

A Nigerian lady has recounted a disturbing encounter with the Nigeria Police Force after she was reportedly traced from Lagos to Abuja over an allegation involving the disappearance of a 20-year-old girl.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the lady, identified on X by the handle @egunowhispers, said the incident began when police officers allegedly took her father into custody in an attempt to locate her.

She explained that security operatives reportedly traced her through the last three numbers on her call log, eventually linking the investigation to her father.

Recounting the incident in a post on X, the lady said she was shocked when her mother contacted her to ask what she had done and whether she had kidnapped someone, informing her that her father was at a police station because officers were looking for her.

“I called was how they got to my dad. Imagine getting a call from my mum, ‘What have you done? Who did you kidnap? Your dad is in the police station because they’re looking for you,’” she wrote.

The lady said the investigation later revealed that the 20-year-old girl she was accused of kidnapping had reportedly left home voluntarily because of her alleged resentment towards her parents. She, however, did not provide details about what prompted the girl to leave or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Following the investigation, the lady said she was left physically and emotionally exhausted by the experience. She disclosed that she initially considered taking legal action against the police but eventually focused on ensuring that her mother returned home safely after they were taken to a police station in Ilorin.

“I was so tired of the whole thing after investigations and wanted to get my mom home because they took us to the police station at Ilorin,” she added.

Her account has since generated reactions online, with social media users discussing the circumstances surrounding the investigation and the unusual way the police allegedly traced her family.
