Four suspects, apprehended in the act of ingesting cocaine pellets, were destined for Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage.

The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, shared on the agency’s website.

The suspects, identified as Usman Kamorudeen (31), Olasunkanmi Owolabi (46), Fatai Yekini (38), and Ayinla Kemi (34), had meticulously prepared 200 cocaine pellets weighing 2.20kg to conceal during their flight.

NDLEA operatives conducted a raid at Emerald Hotel, uncovering the illicit operation involving intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
