Emmanuel’s sister reported to the police that she received a call around 9 a.m. informing her that her brother had been fatally hit by a moving train.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday. He stated that the Mosafejo Division was alerted about the accident at approximately 1:33 p.m.
In response, the police dispatched a team of detectives to the scene. They documented the site and took photographs.
“The body was taken to a public morgue for an autopsy,” Hundeyin said. He added that the case has been transferred to the Railway Police Command in Ebute Metta for further investigation.
