Laide Bakare Makes Fresh Allegations Against Eniola Badmus Amid Public Feud

Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has made fresh allegations about her past relationship with fellow actress Eniola Badmus, adding another dimension to their ongoing public disagreement.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Bakare made the claims during an interview with Oyinmomo TV, where she alleged that she provided financial assistance to Badmus at a time when the latter was struggling to secure acting roles.

The actress claimed that some filmmakers were reluctant to cast Badmus because of her physical appearance and body size, adding that she supported her colleague financially during the period.

Bakare maintained that she stood by Badmus when she was experiencing difficulties in her acting career and when, according to her account, others in the industry were unwilling to work with her.

“I use to give Eniola Badmus money very well when she was ugly and fat, I use to help her with money when nobody wanted to use her in their movies cos of her stature,” Bakare said.

Her comments come amid an ongoing public feud between the two actresses, which recently intensified after Bakare criticised Badmus over her reaction to the mention of her name during an appearance on comedian Isbae U’s show.

Bakare also accused her colleague of repeatedly attempting to damage her reputation in public, claiming that she had warned Badmus several times to stop the alleged behaviour.

The latest remarks have brought renewed attention to the strained relationship between the actresses, with Bakare revisiting what she described as her past efforts to support Badmus during a challenging period in her career.

The claims remain Bakare’s account of their past relationship, and no response from Badmus was included in the report.
