During an address at the 2nd anniversary of The Envoy Nation, a United Kingdom-based church, Pastor Bakare made comments about Mohbad’s lifestyle and untimely demise.
He mentioned that Mohbad, whose death occurred on September 12, might not have foreseen the brevity of his life while he was actively involved in “drinking and smoking” and associating with what Bakare referred to as “evil people.” Bakare emphasized that Mohbad ultimately faced the consequences of his lifestyle choices while still in his prime.
The pastor posed a question to his audience, asking, “Is Mohbad a good name?”
He reflected on the artist’s life, raising questions about the path he chose and the company he kept. Bakare did not lay blame on Mohbad but rather aimed to draw attention to the choices people make in life.
In light of the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, which have sparked controversies on social media, the Lagos State Police Command has taken steps to investigate the cause of his demise. This includes the exhumation of Mohbad’s remains and the performance of an autopsy.
