In an interview on Channels Television, Ajaka stated that going to court over the alleged rigging would be futile, given his skepticism about the transparency of the electoral process.
“Why would I go to court when the same INEC that conducted the rigging would be a witness to defend their actions? It’s a waste of time.
What’s the point? Except for the party members, because I am profoundly disappointed. If the INEC chairman allows this to stand, they are inviting trouble in Nigeria,” Ajaka asserted.
He voiced his frustration, highlighting the significant investment of time, resources, and energy made by him and his supporters in the election. Ajaka criticized the INEC chairman, cautioning that tolerating such irregularities could lead to widespread unrest in Nigeria.
“After giving me assurance of a transparent election, they allowed me to expend my time, money, and mobilize my people, only to manipulate the results.
Even if I’m not personally upset about it, how can I expect my supporters to be content?” Ajaka remarked.
He concluded by issuing a warning that if such electoral malpractices are allowed to persist, it could fuel social unrest in the country.
