Speaker Abbas conveyed this commitment to the workers, who are members of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), National Assembly chapter.

He expressed his intention to collaborate with the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, to address various issues affecting the workers.

The Speaker made this commitment during a courtesy visit to his office in Abuja on Thursday, led by the Chairman of PASAN, NASS Chapter, Mr. Sunday Sabiyi.

While addressing the concerns raised by PASAN’s leadership, Speaker Abbas emphasized the vital role played by the workers in the National Assembly’s functioning and stressed the importance of ensuring their well-being and working conditions.

He stated, “I wholeheartedly support everything you have articulated. I have a deep passion for labor issues because I, too, have experienced it firsthand.

I’ve been in your shoes, starting at the lowest rungs of the civil service. I understand the challenges faced by workers, having worked as a teacher at a time when teaching was considered one of the most difficult jobs.”
