In a momentous event, the Law Students’ Association (LAWSA) at the University of Benin proudly conferred an Award of Honour on Distinguished Senator Barrister Neda Imasuen, representing Edo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

Speaking earlier, the Staff Adviser to the Law Students Association, Faculty of Law, University of Benin, Dr. Sunny Daudu recognizes the unwavering commitments of Distinguished Senator Neda Imasuen to the wellbeing and welfare of Students, not only of Edo South Senatorial District, but to the university Community in general. Dr Daudu thanked Distinguished Senator Neda Imasuen for Instituting the Senator Neda Imasuen Annual Soccer Tournament for the Law Students Association, Faculty of Law University of Benin.

Earlier, Distinguished Senator Neda Imasuen was at the University of Benin for its 48th Convocation and 53rd Founders Day ceremony.

The President of the Law Students Association who also spoke at epoch making event lauded Senator Imasuen contributions and support to the students Body . He assured Senator Imasuen of the students cooperation at all times. He added that by the Senator’s gesture, his name will remained a household name among the Students and in Students Community.

Responding, Distinguished Senator Neda Imasuen pledges his support for the Law Students Association. He added that with the opportunity afforded him by God and the good people of Edo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, he would initiate and support bills that would promote Students welfare, the youths, women and children. He further stated that his mandate is to canvass a paradigm shift in the political climate of Nigeria. He promised not to deviate from the tenets of the movement that brought him to power.

It must be stressed that Senator Imasuen gesture demonstrates his commitments towards nation’s building which has equally strengthens the bond between the senator and the students community, fostering a shared vision for positive change.

LAWSA further expresses heartfelt gratitude for Senator Imasuen’s presence at the Faculty of Law and applauds his continued dedication to the betterment of society. Wishing him continued success in his political endeavors.

The first edition of the Senator Neda Imasuen Annual Football Tournament for the Law Students Association Faculty of Law University of Benin, comes up on Friday, 1st December, 2023
