Lawmaker Demands Urgent Completion Of Zango Kataf Bridge Amid Rising Bandit Attacks

The lawmaker representing Zango Kataf and Jaba Federal Constituency, Hon. Amos Gwamna, has urged the Federal Government to accelerate the completion of a vital bridge across the River Kaduna in Zango Kataf Local Government Area.

The bridge, which remains incomplete, connects several crisis-hit communities including Kigudu, Kampani, Chibob, and Sabon Kaura, and has become a pressing issue amid ongoing bandit attacks in the area.

Speaking to AIT News, Gwamna highlighted the strategic importance of the bridge, noting that it would facilitate faster deployment of security personnel during emergencies and greatly enhance the protection of lives and property.

He also pointed to the economic advantages of completing the project, stating that improved access to farmland and irrigation could boost agricultural productivity in the region.

Gwamna described the current state of road infrastructure as dire, warning that continued delays have already led to loss of lives and destruction of property. He called on the federal authorities to take immediate and decisive action.
