The resolution emerged following the approval of a motion of national urgent importance, presented by Mr. Ibrahim Isiaka, the representative for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency in Ogun State. Isiaka, in leading the discussion, highlighted the formidable challenges Nigerians face due to the soaring cost of living, expressing concern over the escalating prices of essential commodities like cement, despite the abundance of raw materials for production.

“The House resolves to encourage the Federal Government and other stakeholders to swiftly activate the food reserves in order to mitigate the hunger prevalent in our nation,” affirmed Isiaka during the debate.
