Leadership Change: Sergeant Awuse Removed, Fubara Appointed Rivers Traditional Council Chairman....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Governor Siminialayi Fubara has removed High Royal Majesty, Eze Sergeant Awuse, from his position as Chairman of the Rivers State Supreme Council of Traditional Ruler’s Council. His Royal Majesty, Eze Chike Worlu Wodo, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the council. The announcement was made during a Special Meeting of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Port Harcourt, on Friday, June 21.

Governor Fubara, addressing reporters after the meeting, described Awuse as inconsistent, accusing him of double standards since the state’s political crisis began. Fubara remarked, “It appears your chairman has absconded. Perhaps he will correspond with me when he is ready. If sanctioned, he may then attend future sessions.”

He continued, “You are already aware of his stance. He lacks stability and cannot maintain a consistent position. He vacillates, hence his current evasiveness. You must endure until divine intervention resolves this issue plaguing you. By God’s grace, a resolution is imminent.”
