Earlier reports on Tuesday had suggested that Ayinla was grappling with undisclosed health issues, fueling speculations about his critical condition.

In a formal statement released from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) on the same day, the 75-year-old icon refuted the claims and assured the public of his continued existence.

Expressing gratitude, Ayinla acknowledged the support received from Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during his recent health challenges. He also extended appreciation to LASUTH’s Chief Medical Director, Adetokunbo Fabanwo, and the entire hospital staff for their exceptional care and treatment.

In his words, Ayinla stated, “I want to thank Lagosians. I want to thank the government of Lagos State and the management of the State University Teaching Hospital and its leader Adetokunbo O. Fabanwo.”

While emphasizing that only God holds the power to preserve life, Ayinla commended the LASUTH team for their dedication, acknowledging that their efforts played a crucial role in his recovery.

He concluded, “They said I was dead, but I’m here speaking alive from the LASUTH now.”

The legendary Fuji star’s reassurance and expressions of gratitude reflect his resilience and appreciation for the unwavering support he has received during a challenging period of health concerns.
