In a fresh resolution, the minority group declared the auditorium within the Legislature Quarters as the legitimate and recognised chamber of the House, demonstrating their resolve to uphold legislative stability amid the current political turmoil.

On Friday, the 10 steadfast PDP lawmakers further strengthened their ranks by appointing officers into strategic leadership positions, including Minority Leader, Deputy Minority Leader, Minority Whip, and Deputy Minority Whip. The newly selected officials were sworn in immediately.

Their actions follow the dramatic defection that drastically reduced PDP’s numerical strength in the Assembly. Nonetheless, the lawmakers have vowed to keep legislative business alive and functioning.
