Labour Party Flagbearer, Peter Obi claims he was been accountable, not stingy when he was the Governor of Anambra state.
Peter Obi in his recent interview at the Brekete family program gave detailed reasons why he was impeached due to his accountability when he was the state Governor of Anambra state
Peter Obi claimed one of the reasons of his impeachment was his office that got burnt, he said “to repair the office was on a budget of 289,000,000 I repaired it with my money and cut down the cost to 49,200,000 due to insufficient funds”. Obi’s second reason for impeachment was about the government house that got burnt and was on a budget of 486,000,000 that later got repaired for 81,000,000.
The LP Presidential Candidate also claimed the 1,000,000,000 contract assigned to Anambra to build a presidential lodge was stopped by his administration due to lack of funds, he added “when Obasanjo wanted to come to the state i left the government house for him and saved the money”.
The most important reason why he was impeached was because of the money he saved for his successor, after much consideration, The judge ruled out the impeachment
