Afrobeat musician and grandson of the late Fela Kuti, Made Kuti, has explained why he chose not to kneel while proposing to his wife.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking on the Timeless Podcast on Nix Network’s YouTube channel, the 30-year-old shared his perspective on relationships, proposals, and marriage.

Made said his marriage is based on mutual understanding between him and his wife, adding that kneeling during a proposal, in his view, implies begging rather than a shared commitment.

“I did not go down on my knees when proposing to my wife because I told her it was a mutual decision. We are not begging each other to be with each other,” he said.

The singer married his wife, Inedoye Onyenso, in 2023.

Meanwhile, fellow Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti has alleged that supporters of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi—popularly known as Obidients—once plotted to harm him during his detention.

Seun made the claim during a live Instagram session, where he recounted his experience while being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Lagos.

He said he initially chose not to speak about the incident because of the identity of the person he believes was connected to the alleged plot, noting that the individual is widely admired by young Nigerians.

Seun also disclosed that activist Omoyele Sowore had encouraged him to speak out earlier, but he preferred to handle the matter privately.

The musician clarified that he has no intention of attacking anyone based on political affiliation, stressing that supporting any candidate remains a personal choice.

He added that he may address the matter directly with the individual involved at a later time, depending on circumstances.

According to him: “I told you the Obidient movement tried to finish me, tried to kill me while I was in there… I never told that story because of who was involved… someone looked up to by so many young people. I will not fight anybody who tries to follow Atiku or Tinubu… you have just made your political choice.
