Makinde Is The Problem’ — Wike Sparks Fresh PDP Firestorm In Viral Video
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has accused Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, of acting out of frustration.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Wike said Makinde’s frustration is driven by his inability to understand that politics operates differently from business dealings, particularly oil contracting.
The FCT minister made the remarks on Monday during his end-of-year media briefing.
He claimed that several attempts had been made to guide Makinde on the appropriate political direction to take, but the governor repeatedly ignored the advice offered to him.
Wike also blamed Makinde for the internal turmoil within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alleging that the Oyo governor is deliberately stirring trouble in the party.
According to him, Makinde harbours presidential ambitions but lacks the courage to openly declare them, choosing instead to position loyalists within the party to advance his personal agenda.
Meanwhile, Wike dismissed as false claims attributed to Makinde that he had promised President Bola Tinubu to weaken or hold down the PDP ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking at the same media engagement, Wike insisted that no such meeting ever took place with President Tinubu and added that Makinde has never confronted him directly over the issue.
