Makkah Welcomes 3,110 Hajj Pilgrims From Kano In 2024

In 2024, a total of 3,110 pilgrims from Kano State have arrived in Makkah, Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage. They were warmly welcomed by officials from the Nigeria National Hajj Commission and the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board. According to Ibrahim, the pilgrims include both government-sponsored and privately sponsored individuals. He emphasized that officials in Makkah have advised the pilgrims to maintain peaceful and orderly conduct throughout their stay in the holy city.

During their time in Makkah, the pilgrims will engage in several important rituals such as circumambulating the Kaaba, praying at the Grand Mosque, and performing animal sacrifices. The Hajj pilgrimage is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam and is obligatory for Muslims who have the physical and financial means to undertake it at least once in their lifetime.
