Rufai utilized the opportunity to once again criticize the Federal Government, led by Tinubu, for prioritizing a $2 billion coastal road project, the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway, over the urgent repair of numerous deteriorating federal roads nationwide.

Bushradiogist, an independent blog, conducted research on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal road project, revealing that it will cost $4 billion per kilometer.
