This was disclosed on Friday, April 10, 2026, in a statement by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.

The mock exam, designed to familiarize candidates with the CBT format, also served as an evaluation tool to measure how well the centres were prepared. Through the exercise, JAMB identified centres that fell short of the required technical and operational standards.

Based on the findings, the board delisted underperforming centres and cautioned others to upgrade their facilities and processes ahead of the main examination.

JAMB explained that the action is part of its broader effort to maintain the credibility of the examination system and ensure that only fully equipped centres participate in the UTME.

Among the affected centres are Micben Seat of Wisdom Academy ICT Hall in Abia State; Bishop Crowther Seminary CBT Centre and The Oracle Lens in Anambra State; Derby’s Young ICT Centre in Bayelsa State; and several centres across Delta, Edo, and the Federal Capital Territory.

Others across Ogun, Osun, Oyo, and Plateau States were similarly affected.

Additionally, one Lagos-based centre, Ha-Shem Academy in Yaba, has been completely banned and will no longer be used for any of the board’s examinations.
