Massive Bandit Siege In Kebbi! 300+ Invade Police Camp, Loot Firearms In Shocking Raid

Armed with heavy firepower, more than 300 bandits invaded Makuku Village in Sakaba Local Government Area on Thursday, overpowering a police post and seizing eight AK-47s.

Sources who spoke to respected security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed that the heavily armed assailants, suspected to be cattle rustlers transporting a large herd stolen from Niger State en route to Zamfara, launched the attack at approximately 1:00 p.m.

Eyewitnesses reported that the confrontation triggered a violent gun duel. Despite resistance from the officers, the bandits overpowered them. During the chaos, the attackers torched a Toyota Hilux police patrol vehicle and escaped with eight AK-47 rifles belonging to the security unit.

In response, troops from Operation FANSAN YANMA and other security operatives were swiftly deployed to the area to conduct search-and-rescue efforts and recover the stolen firearms. Security forces are currently trailing the assailants along suspected escape routes.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army confirmed on Wednesday that multiple soldiers were killed during coordinated terrorist attacks on forward operating bases in Kwanar Dutse Mairiga and Boka in Niger State, as well as Angwan Turai in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State.

According to the official Army statement, the attacks occurred on Tuesday, June 24.

The military responded with aggressive counter-assaults, including ground and aerial operations, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of numerous terrorists. Tragically, alongside the fallen troops, four other soldiers sustained gunshot injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
