In addition to the monetary reward, each player was also gifted a new apartment at the Renewed Hope Estate, in recognition of their championship win.

To further honor their achievement, President Tinubu conferred on the players and their coaching staff the prestigious national award of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).

The announcement was made by Vice President Kashim Shettima during a special presidential reception held in their honor at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.

The victorious D’Tigress team, along with their officials, were warmly received at the venue at 5:05 p.m. by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and Second Lady Nana Shettima.

Speaking on behalf of President Tinubu, the Vice President commended the team for their remarkable accomplishment and reaffirmed the administration’s support for Nigerian sports.

Dignitaries at the event included the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youths and Sports Development, Garba Maidoki, and the Chairman of the House Committee on Sports, Kabiru Amadou.
