Military Forces Intercept Terrorist Plot In Sokoto, Seize Arms And Ammunition

The Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS), swiftly responded to a distress call in Sokoto State, halting a planned terrorist attack. According to a statement released by the Nigerian Army on Friday, troops intercepted an armed terrorist group in the Modachi general area of Isa Local Government Area, preventing potential chaos.

The joint operation resulted in the elimination of some terrorists and the recovery of a significant cache of arms, including seven AK-47 rifles, four motorbikes, two mobile phones, and four machetes. The successful operation underscores the commitment of security forces to combating terrorism and restoring peace in troubled regions.

In a separate operation, troops of Sector 1, Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), neutralized three Boko Haram terrorists in Cameroon. These operations demonstrate the ongoing efforts to eliminate the menace of terrorism in the region.
