Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, has urged troops of Operation Delta Safe to prioritize loyalty and dedication to national security while avoiding entanglement with adversaries of the state. Speaking during an Eid El-Kabir luncheon at Port Harcourt barracks, General Musa emphasized the importance of soldiers remaining steadfast in their mission to safeguard the nation’s interests and economy.
General Musa commended the troops for their efforts in maintaining stability in challenging terrains, noting their critical role in protecting national assets and combating criminal activities such as oil theft. He conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s appreciation for their service and highlighted the military’s progress in enhancing oil production despite security challenges.
Acknowledging the troops’ vigilance and professionalism, General Musa underscored their contributions to countering economic sabotage and affirmed the military’s commitment to punishing any personnel involved in illicit collaborations. Admiral John Okeke, Commander of the Joint Task Force, South-South, overseeing Operation Delta Safe, also lauded the operation’s achievements in both kinetic and non-kinetic operations aimed at securing the region and fostering economic growth.
