Buba revealed that recent synchronized airstrikes by the Air Force, alongside ground operations, have successfully dislodged terrorists from their hideouts and resulted in the deaths of several militants. On November 6, 2024, the air component of Operation HADIN KAI carried out targeted strikes on terrorist positions at KWALLARAM and ARAINNA CIKI islands in Borno State. These strikes led to the neutralization of over 70 extremists at KWALLARAM, with additional casualties reported at ARAINNA CIKI.

The military spokesman further stated that in recent operations, Nigerian troops have neutralized 169 terrorists, arrested 641 suspects, and intensified efforts against insurgents across the country. In the Niger Delta region, troops also made significant progress in combating oil theft, arresting 40 individuals involved in the illegal trade and preventing the theft of crude oil valued at over one billion Naira (N1,402,001,900).

In terms of weaponry, the military recovered a substantial amount of arms and ammunition, including 106 AK-47 rifles, 38 fabricated rifles, 26 dane guns, 11 locally made pistols, and more. Additionally, troops seized 192 assorted weapons, 2,970 rounds of ammunition, 40 mobile phones, seven vehicles, and several other items.

The military also made key discoveries in the Niger Delta, where they destroyed 20 illegal crude oil cooking ovens, 42 boats, five storage reservoirs, and 83 illegal refining sites. Other recoveries included 914,445 liters of stolen crude oil, 537,325 liters of illegally refined AGO, and 1,285 liters of PMS.
