Lere Olayinka, the media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has fired back at critics attacking his boss.

The backlash began after photos surfaced online showing Wike and his two sons, Jordan and Joaquin, attending the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayor’s Forum in Dubai as part of the Nigerian delegation.

Several Nigerians expressed disapproval, arguing that it was inappropriate for the minister’s sons to be included in an official delegation.

Reacting to the criticism, Olayinka took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to address and slam those faulting Wike over the trip.
