Minister Momoh Inspects Ubiane–Iyerekhu Road, Assures Steady Progress Under Renewed Hope Agenda(Video)

The Hon. Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE, has conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction along the Ubiane–Iyerekhu Road, reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to improving strategic infrastructure across Edo State.
Speaking during the visit, the Minister described the project as a vital transit corridor designed to ease traffic pressure on the Benin–Auchi highway, particularly for motorists approaching Auchi. He stressed that the road is central to the Renewed Hope Agenda’s focus on regional connectivity, economic growth and community development.
According to him, the improvement of the Ubiane–Iyerekhu stretch will significantly enhance mobility for daily commuters, reduce travel time, and boost local commerce.
The Minister noted that traders and transporters will benefit from smoother movement of goods, while residents and business owners in the surrounding communities stand to gain from increased accessibility and rising economic activity.
Engr. Momoh expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and assured that the Ministry is working closely with contractors to maintain quality and deliver the project within projected timelines.
He reiterated that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not limited to policy statements, but is actively transforming into visible development across key regions of the country.
The inspection marks another step in ongoing efforts to expand critical infrastructure and strengthen regional development for the benefit of citizens, businesses, and the broader economy.
