The incident occurred around 6:30 pm when an Opel car, traveling at high speed, suffered a tire blowout, causing it to lose control and somersault twice before coming to a stop.

The Opel, laden with cassava bags, was headed towards Lagos. Fortunately, both occupants emerged unharmed, although the cassava spilled onto the road. A Toyota Camry, trailing behind, swerved to avoid colliding with the Opel and ended up in a ditch. Thankfully, the Camry’s driver escaped unscathed, but the vehicle sustained significant damage.

Witnesses noted that the outcome could have been far worse if the Camry hadn’t veered off the road. Following the incident, a dispute arose between the drivers, with the Camry driver holding the Opel driver responsible and demanding repairs.

Federal Road Safety Corps officials from the Ogun State Sector later arrived to manage the traffic and address the situation.
