The statement highlighted the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, sparked by attempts to impeach a key member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Fubara, by members loyal to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The monarch urged Hon. Fubara to prioritize the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Rivers State over any agreements with political influencers.

Dakolo also advised the feuding factions involved in the political crisis to cease hostilities in the best interest of the state’s citizens.

He emphasized the need for public servants to remember that their primary duty is to serve the people and that agreements or oaths should align with the welfare of the citizens.

Dakolo emphasized that the Governor of Rivers State should prioritize the peace and service to the people above all else.

Additionally, he called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene and ensure that law enforcement agencies and security forces adhere to their duties and follow established procedures in the state.
