My Husband Doesn’t Have A Life Of His Own’ — Veekee James Sparks Massive Online Debate

Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James has defended her decision to frequently appear in public with her husband, Femi Atere, following criticism from some social media users.

The backlash began after an online commenter questioned why her husband is almost always by her side, suggesting he did not have a life of his own.

Responding to the remark, Veekee dismissed the criticism, stressing that she and her husband have intentionally built their marriage around togetherness and shared experiences.

She explained that they both choose to be actively involved in every aspect of each other’s lives, describing their relationship as a true partnership rather than two separate individuals living independent lives.

According to the influencer, many of those criticizing their relationship fail to understand the essence of marriage, which she believes is rooted in unity and mutual commitment.

Veekee added that she has no plans to change their lifestyle because of opinions shared online, insisting that their approach to marriage works for them.

Taking to her Snapchat page, she wrote: “Yes, my husband does not have a life of his own. His life is my life, the same way I don’t have a life of my own. My life is his life. He is me and I am him. Together we are like padlock and key.

“When you marry your own, separate him. When you marry your own, remove him from your life and keep him somewhere else. You don’t know what marriage is. His life is mine, my life is his. Everything he is, is mine.

“You’ve not seen anything. You will see me and my husband anywhere possible, everywhere possible, you will see us.”
