Popular musician Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has issued a legal threat to Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo, demanding an apology and N500 million in damages. In a letter from Naira Marley’s legal representation, Olalekan Ojo (SAN) & Co, the singer accuses Iyabo Ojo of spreading false and malicious content about him on her Instagram account. The letter specifically points to an Instagram post from September 2023, in which Iyabo Ojo allegedly accused Naira Marley of spiritually and physically dealing with the late singer Mohbad. The lawyer claims that Iyabo Ojo also accused Naira Marley of causing mental harm to Mohbad.
Naira Marley’s legal team has requested that Iyabo Ojo issues a public apology on her official Instagram account and in a national daily within seven days of receiving the letter. Failure to comply within the specified time frame will result in legal action, with the singer seeking damages of N500 million from the actress.
