A source, speaking anonymously to the Nigerian Tribune, stated, “It was alleged that Bichi residents were attempting to prevent the installation. The security forces acted swiftly to maintain peace and order.”

The police action also reportedly discouraged prominent figures from attending the event in Bichi.

The installation has caused unrest among locals, who view it as a downgrade for their town.
