New Poll Places Oshiomhole Way Ahead Of Other Contestants For Edo North Senatorial District....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, the former APC National Chairman and ex-Governor of Edo State, has added another victory to his tally, with his senatorial quest for Edo North receiving the highest approval rating in the most recent voting poll conducted among Edo North electorates.

Oshiomhole’s favorability climbed from 60% in October to 75% in the final week of November, according to a recent Grassroots Democratic Watch (GDW) poll on who is most likely to win the Edo North Senatorial seat among the front-runners.

This obviously demonstrates a 15% increase ahead of the general elections scheduled for February of next year. The poll was conducted from the second week of October to the last week of November.

The positive rating extends to all six local governments that comprise Edo North’s senatorial district. Adams Oshiomhole received above 80% in Etsako West, Etsako East, and Etsako Central, while scoring above 70% in Akoko Edo and Owan West and East.

According to all indications, Oshiomole’s popularity rating has risen due to his antecedents, which cannot be separated from his people-oriented initiatives as Governor of Edo State, with his acceptance cutting across the board by the majority of residents from all age groups and socioeconomic strata.

They highlight his enthusiasm and zeal for positive development as a significant differentiator from the other candidates. Residents believe that his emergence will bring unparalleled growth to Edo North as well as a robust contribution on the floor of the National Assembly.

The Deputy DG of the APC Presidential Campaign Council scored high among women and the youths, raking over 80%, which was alluded to in their analysis of his humanitarian services and compassion towards constituents. They claim the former Labour leader is humble and easily approachable by the people, with  his charisma giving  him an edge.

His capacity to be an accommodating leader who they perceive as a role model is one of the indices that contributed to his growing popularity; 70% of survey participants believed he would be a better candidate than his competitors . He has received excellent marks for empowerment programmes and infrastructural drives.

The poll was conducted both online and offline , in English, across the six local councils that make up Edo North. It gathered responses from 2 ,005 persons, including 1500 potential voters, and has an estimated plus-minus margin error of 5%, according to Grassroots Democratic Watch.
