New Video Sparks Outrage Over Alleged Abduction Of Adelabu’s Relatives

The victims, identified as Laide and her twin sons, Peter and Paul, were allegedly kidnapped on Wednesday morning at Elewura in the Challenge area of the city.

In the video, residents were seen gathering at the location where the incident reportedly took place, expressing concern over the rising insecurity in parts of the state.

According to Vanguard, a media aide to Adelabu, Femi Awogboro, confirmed the incident, stating that the victims were abducted by unknown gunmen.

He said, “Adelabu’s junior brother’s wife, Laide, together with her twins, Peter and Paul, was kidnapped this morning by unknown gunmen at Elewura, Challenge, Ibadan.”

Awogboro further explained that the family was on their way out of Elewura heading toward the expressway when they were intercepted and taken away by the assailants.

The incident has heightened tension among residents of Ibadan amid growing concerns over insecurity and kidnapping cases in Oyo State.

As of the time of filing this report, the Oyo State Police Command had yet to issue an official statement on the development.
