Nigeria Awaits: Jonathan To Make Stunning Comeback In 2027 – Jerry Gana Reveals

Former Minister of Information and Orientation, Prof. Jerry Gana, has announced that former President Goodluck Jonathan will contest the 2027 presidential election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Gana made the declaration while speaking to journalists shortly after the PDP Niger State Congress held in Minna.

According to him, Nigerians have now realized the difference in leadership since Jonathan left office and are eager for his return.

He said:

“In 2015, former President Goodluck Jonathan made it clear that his ambition was not worth the blood of Nigerians. Since then, another President has ruled for eight years, and now another for two years. Nigerians have seen the contrast, and it is very clear. Today, they are asking us to bring back our friend, former President Goodluck Jonathan.

I can confidently confirm that Jonathan will contest the 2027 presidential election as the PDP candidate, and we must be ready to support him back to Aso Rock.”

Gana described the PDP as a genuinely democratic, grassroots-driven party that allows Nigerians to freely elect their leaders. He emphasized that the party’s enduring popularity stems from its people-oriented programmes.

Addressing internal party matters, the former minister dismissed claims of crisis, stressing that all past disagreements had been amicably resolved.

“When there was a looming crisis, the founding fathers convened a consultative meeting in Abuja where every issue was addressed. Today, we are fully prepared for the challenges of 2027,” he assured.

He further urged Nigerians to “shine their eyes” and vote out the current administration, insisting that Jonathan’s return would restore good governance.
