He highlighted the significance of the event, especially in light of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, which necessitate a conducive environment for success. Adeniyi acknowledged NAN’s efforts in expanding its media capabilities through diverse products and services.
He also noted the recent discussions with media representatives, indicating a need for intervention in the newspaper industry regarding access to printing resources for their publications. “Editors should rally around the president in addressing this issue,” he urged.
In a goodwill message, the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Audu, praised NAN for convening esteemed security experts to explore new strategies for addressing insecurity in the Sahel region. He expressed optimism that the event would yield local solutions to the ongoing security challenges.
