Nigeria Decides: Omosede No Match For Dennis Idahosa As Ovia Residents Reacts To PDP Crisis....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Residents of Ovia Federal Constituency have responded to the recent PDP conflict in Edo State, where the Supreme Court issued its judgement.
Even though the Supreme Court’s ruling on which PDP groups should be permitted to run candidates in the upcoming general elections was not declarative, citizens have suggested that the Governors faction is the legitimate participant.
Residents have subsequently responded to the verdict, claiming that Omosede Igbinedion, Obaseki’s faction’s nominee for Ovia Federal district, is no match for current lawmaker, Hon Dennis Idahosa.
Opinion surveys were conducted on both social media as well as a physical headcount of residents in both Ovia North East and South West LGAs, which comprise the Federal constituency.
In making their judgements, they took into account five factors: integrity, past and current performance, commitment, transparency, and character.
Integrity.
Dennis Idahosa is regarded as a lawmaker who has fulfilled more than 80% of his pledges to constituents. The first-term legislator is claimed to have no fewer than 87 completed projects to his credit across the constituency.
On the other side, they perceive Omosede Igbinedion to come from a family of unsuccessful public office holders.
Her older brother, Lucky Igbinedion, the former governor of the state, is widely regarded as the worst governor in the annals of Edo state. In fact, when Lucky was running for re-election, their esteemed father, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, is alleged to have said that if one fails, it is required that they REPEAT the class. That awful was it.
Her other older brother, who had served as a local government chairman, received a similar depressing sentence of failure. To top it all off, Omosede herself was Dennis’ predecessor at the House of Representatives, where her tenure was yet another failure.
This remark from a respondent named Omoregieva, who lives in Nifor, sums it all.
“When it comes to holding public office, the Igbinedion’s family has proven to be a colossal failure with nothing to show for the years that the State’s citizens trusted them with managing their resources.
Omosede, who served four years in the National Assembly, was not known for projects that were people-oriented.”
Past and current performance:
It is claimed that after the emergence of Dennis Idahosa, the people of Ovia have realised that governance can now reach their doorstep. Dennis Idahosa was not titled Mr Projects for nothing, as his projects can be seen in every community.
According to Steve Igbinoba, comparing the accomplishments of Dennis Idahosa to Omosede Igbinedion is an insult.
“The comparison is an insult, if Omosede had performed we would have been citing her achievements but she did nothing that we cant even recall again because all we see are Dennis Idahosa’s projects scattered throughout everywhere.”
Dennis Idahosa came out on top in terms of commitment, transparency, and character. With his direct contact with constituents, Dennis Idahosa has met their needs at every turn, a lawmaker who not only builds schools, town halls, health centres, skills acquisition centres, and so on, but he also construct bridges.
His commitment is unmatched, while his transparency is immediately evident in his projects that decorate every community, his report cards are clear, and his humility makes his character unrivalled.
Omosede Igbinedion or whoever INEC certifies as the actual representative of the PDP is clearly no match for Dennis Idahosa, according to the more than 500 respondents our correspondents were able to contact.
