This nationwide distribution of computer systems is a strategic move aimed at addressing challenges related to NIN enrollment and enhancing operational capacity, according to Adegoke. Odusote-Coker emphasized the commitment of her administration to tackle issues such as extortion of applicants. Any staff found engaging in such practices will face consequences in accordance with the constitution and existing Public Service Rules.

The provision of additional enrollment devices reflects the DG/CEO’s dedication to streamlining operations and improving overall efficiency. These systems have already been installed and are operational across all states, resulting in reduced waiting times for applicants and an increased daily capacity to attend to a higher number of applicants.

Engr Abisoye Coker-Odusote has also deployed monitoring and evaluation teams to various centers nationwide to ensure the smooth running of enrollment and modification exercises. The teams will rigorously enforce a zero-tolerance stance against extortion and unethical practices, as stated in the released communication.
