The screening will take place at the Army Headquarters Command Officers’ Mess 1 in Asokoro, Abuja. The announcement encourages both new applicants and existing beneficiaries seeking to upgrade their educational levels to participate. Additionally, individuals who were absent from the 2022–2023 exercise are also encouraged to take part in the screening process.
Successful candidates are promised appropriate sponsorship funds tailored to their respective educational levels. To facilitate the screening, applicants are required to submit a handwritten application for sponsorship, including the names of the children, along with the beneficiary’s letter of admission, last school report card/results, confirmation letter from the educational institution, birth certificate, and death certificate of the deceased personnel.
Furthermore, Part 2 Orders, publication of death, condolence letter, notification of casualty signal, and the Nigerian Army application for sponsorship form completed by the last unit and formation headquarters of the deceased personnel are also mandatory documents. Other prerequisites include four recent passport photographs of the beneficiaries, passport photograph of the deceased personnel, and the bank account number, sort code, and telephone number of the beneficiary’s surviving parent or administrator.
