Governor Uzodinma, however, cautioned that the timing for such an event under the current administration is premature, urging organizers to delay their plans. Speaking to reporters at the State House after introducing former Senate President Pius Anyim to President Tinubu, Uzodinma noted opposition from Southeast governors due to concerns over potential disruptions.

He emphasized the democratic right to protest but stressed the importance of protests being well-founded and politically meaningful. Uzodinma highlighted the fragile global and national security situations, warning of risks to the country’s stability if protests are not responsibly managed.
