Nigerian Man Faces Charges For Fatally Beating Wife With Skateboard In UK....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

A Nigerian man has admitted to killing his wife, a care home assistant, just months after their relocation to the UK from Nigeria. Olubunmi Abodunde, 48, pleaded guilty to the murder of Taiwo Abodunde, 41, leaving their three children without a mother. The tragic incident unfolded in their Newmarket, Suffolk home, where Olubunmi breached bail conditions imposed due to previous domestic violence allegations.

Despite repeated banging heard by officers outside, it took 25 minutes to enter the house, where they found Taiwo with fatal injuries. The court was informed of Olubunmi’s history of jealousy and accusations against his wife. Despite bail conditions restricting contact, he returned home, allegedly resulting in the fatal assault. Prior to the tragedy, police had intervened in domestic violence incidents involving the couple.

Following the guilty plea, three officers are under investigation for their handling of the case. The court learned of the couple’s immigration to the UK in 2022, where financial disputes and accusations of infidelity marred their relationship.

Taiwo worked as a care home assistant, while Olubunmi struggled to find employment in his field. Olubunmi claimed self-defense, citing past physical abuse, but evidence contradicted his account. His defense suggested medication might have influenced his actions, though no medical evidence supported this. Suffolk Police expressed relief for Taiwo’s family, sparing them the trial ordeal. Taiwo’s workplace, Cambridge Manor Care Home, mourned her loss, remembering her compassion and dedication. Olubunmi awaits sentencing in custody.
