Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima Represents President Tinubu At UN Food Systems Summit In Rome


Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has traveled to Rome to represent President Bola Tinubu at the United Nations Food Systems Summit. The event, which started today, Monday, July 24, is expected to run until Wednesday, July 26.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
This visit marks Shettima’s first official trip to the country since the current Nigerian leadership took office. The welcoming party included the Nigerian Ambassador to Italy, Mfawa Omini Abam, the Head of the Consular Department of the Nigerian Embassy in Italy, Ugochukwu Onuzulike, and the President of the Nigerian Community in Rome, Chima Ibezim.
Accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President and other government officials, the vice president had departed from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Sunday afternoon for this important representation.
After attending the UN Food Systems Summit in Rome, Vice President Shettima will proceed to St. Petersburg, Russia, to also represent President Tinubu at the Russia-Africa Summit, which is scheduled to commence this week.
During the Rome event, the Vice President will join other global leaders for the first Stocktaking Moment (STM) Summit, focusing on the theme “Transforming Food Systems for People, Planet, and Prosperity.”
