Nigerian Woman Regrets Hosting Friend’s Twins After Peace-Making Hug Ends in a Bite
A Nigerian woman has sparked laughter online after recounting her frustrating experience hosting her friend’s twin boys, whose frequent quarrels reportedly turned her home into a battleground.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the woman explained that the twins could go from getting along with each other to fighting over seemingly minor issues, even when other options were available to them.
She said their latest disagreement tested her patience after her attempt to settle the dispute and restore peace between the siblings ended in another unexpected fight.
According to her account, she rushed to separate the children when their argument escalated into a physical confrontation. She subsequently took them to the parlour in an attempt to resolve the issue peacefully.
The woman explained that she wiped away their tears and instructed both children to apologise to each other. After they complied, she asked them to hug, hoping the gesture would help them reconcile and put the disagreement behind them.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn when one of the twins reportedly bit his brother on the shoulder while they were hugging.
The bite caused the other child to burst into tears, leaving the woman frustrated after her efforts to make peace had seemingly backfired.
Recounting the incident, she expressed exhaustion over the children’s repeated quarrels and suggested that she had reached the limit of her patience.
“Oya, both of you, holiday is over. Go back to your parents! I have tried my best,” she reportedly said.
Her experience has provided a humorous glimpse into the unpredictable challenges of caring for young children, particularly siblings whose disagreements can quickly escalate despite attempts by adults to intervene.
Although she initially agreed to accommodate her friend’s children, the twins’ latest altercation appeared to leave her overwhelmed and ready to send them back to their parents.
The story has also highlighted the patience and effort often required of caregivers when managing children’s conflicts, even when seemingly simple attempts at reconciliation do not go as planned.
