President Bola Tinubu has officially recalled Sarafa Isola, Nigeria’s high commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK). In a letter dated August 31, and signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, this decision was communicated. The letter stated:
“I have the honor to notify you of Mr. President’s decision to recall you, signifying the conclusion of your tenure as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United Kingdom.
“According to this communication, you are now expected to initiate the process of concluding your duties and bid farewell to your host government within sixty days. Your return to Nigeria is required by no later than October 31, 2023.”
Minister Tuggar extended his appreciation to the ambassador for his service and wished him success in his future pursuits.
