Former APC National Vice Chairman, Salihu Lukman, emphasized the need for the party to publish a code of conduct for its leaders and elected representatives, citing the current situation with Yahaya Bello as an example.
Lukman stressed the importance of trust in leadership and criticized the lack of party meetings to discuss critical matters.
He pointed out that the absence of regular meetings has reduced the party to merely an election platform, leading to various issues within the party, including mismanagement of political relations. Lukman also highlighted the political undertones behind corruption allegations facing figures like Abdullahi Ganduje and Yahaya Bello, advocating for political solutions to address these challenges.
He urged party leaders to renegotiate relationships within their states and emphasized the need for leaders to uphold integrity and accountability.
