The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast rainy weather and thunderstorms from Monday, July 15, to Wednesday, July 17, across the country.

According to NiMet’s weather outlook released on Sunday, July 14, in Abuja, morning thunderstorms are expected in parts of Taraba, Adamawa, Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, Kano, and Kaduna States. Later in the day, thunderstorms are anticipated in Taraba, Kaduna, Yobe, Katsina, Kano, Borno, Bauchi, and Jigawa States.

“In the North Central region, rain is expected in parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Niger, and Nasarawa States during the morning hours. Later in the day, thunderstorms and rain are anticipated in the FCT, Niger, Kwara, Plateau, and Kogi States.

“Morning drizzle and rain are expected in parts of Lagos, Abia, Ebonyi, Ondo, Ogun, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River, while intermittent rain is anticipated over the entire southern region in the afternoon and evening hours,” the report stated.

On Tuesday, NiMet envisions morning thunderstorms over Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Gombe, Katsina, Kano, Bauchi, Yobe, Borno, and Jigawa. Later in the day, thunderstorms are forecast for Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Bauchi, Yobe, Borno, and Jigawa States.

“In the North Central region, rain is expected in parts of the FCT, Benue, and Kogi States during the morning hours. Later in the day, thunderstorms and rain are anticipated in the FCT, Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger, Kogi, Kwara, and Benue States.

“Morning rain is anticipated in parts of Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom States, while thunderstorms and intermittent rain are expected in the entire southern region​⬤
