According to Kanu’s counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the consultation with his personal physicians took place in a hospital in Abuja, away from DSS facilities.
Ejiofor confirmed that the examination went smoothly and productively, and Kanu will progress to the next stage soon. Kanu has been in detention since 2021, and the court’s decision provided him with an opportunity for medical assessment outside the DSS custody.
